Monferrato, a geographical region of Piedmont mostly extending between Asti and its province, is a mainly hilly area renowned for its wines and typical regional food.
L'olmo, our firm, is located in the very heart of this area.
Among the best known products the highly esteemed white truffle is certainly worth mentioning as is a wealth of dishes of the folk civilisation prepared with local raw materials.
Among these are the "bagna cauda" a hot sauce to dip vegetables in, the "cogna" a sweetish mostarda made with local grapes and fruit that goes well with cheeses, the "bagnet verd" a cold sauce served with meat, and many other products you'll discover little by little.
Hallmark of L'olmo is its full commitment to offer high quality products - this is why we only use olive oil and extra-virgin olive oil in our preparations, and all our products are free from colouring agents and chemical preservatives.
The ingredients of our "ready-to-cook risotti", made with Italian Carnaroli rice, and a mix of premium quality raw materials, are proportioned packet by packet so that the correct quantity of granular broth can be added for a really ready-to-cook risotto of unrivalled appearance and taste.
We produce many other products among which are hors d'oeuvres, sauces, creams, ready-to-use omelette preparations, polenta, truffle- or chilli-flavoured sauces, and much more to satisfy the requests of an increasingly demanding clientčle.
